While we wait for that Spring air to warm us up we are trying to embrace this cold weather and get out for more hikes! And we are loving it. Cool breeze, quiet trails, amazing views and the potential for a cheeky post hike cold beer in the afternoon winter sun after a strenuous (or not) climb. So we’ve put together a list of our favourite hikes to do in BC - from Squamish to the island, from lake views to mountain climbs, from challenging to family friendly, we’ve got you covered on some seriously drool worthy hiking trails to add to your list.

Easy family friendly route with beautiful views of the river and lush forest as well as a suspension bridge and 30 foot pool if you feel like a dip to cool off.
This hike is a must if you are in the Whistler area. You will hike to three beautiful lakes by way of meadows, waterfalls and even glaciers. This hike has it all. Make sure to come prepared with proper footwear and gear as the ground can be quite muddy and rocky. The green lakes are worth all the hype, prepare for lots of photo ops.

A favourite to do when we are in Victoria. This hike is located near Sooke and shows off all the beauty of the island, lush forest, a beautiful beach and a little waterfall. It is a moderate to easy hike so if your kids don’t mind a bit of uphill on the way back its a great one for the whole family.

Our favourite hike to do on our way up to Whistler! A 7km, quite steep hike to the most beautiful panoramic view of Squamish Valley and Howe Sound. Leave yourself some time to relax at the summit and bask in the
Satisfaction of a job well done.

Tofino is definitely on our bucket list this year and this is the hike (walk) we love to do when we visit! Shows off all the beauty that one of the most picturesque places in BC has to offer.

The perfect family friendly or leisurely weekend hike! Beautiful mountain views, waterfalls and rivers this one has it all, and so close to home (if you live in the Lower Mainland). And if you feel like something more challenging, Golden Ears Park has lots of options for summits and longer trail hikes too!
This is one of our go-to weekend hikes. Close to town, amazing view and you can bring your pup too! Make sure you go on a clear day to get that post hike photo op looking over the city.
